EXPERIENCE
Since beginning his practice in 1999, Dr. Patrice Langlois has provided anesthesia care in various hospitals and CMS facilities across Quebec. He started his career as an anesthesia resident at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire de Québec, later working as an anesthesiologist at the Hôpital de Gatineau and serving as the head of the anesthesiology department at the Centre Hospitalier Anna Laberge.
EXPERTISE
Dr. Langlois specializes in total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), which has consistently proven to be better tolerated by patients (resulting in less nausea), more cost-effective than gas anesthesia (considering the costs of gas versus intravenous medications and reduced need for antiemetics), and less harmful to the environment.
For orthopedic surgery and postoperative multimodal pain management, Dr Langlois prefers regional anesthesia and nerve block techniques.
CONDITIONS
- Time slots must be booked 3 months in advance.
- A minimum of four hours will be charged for one day.
- No fee will be charged if the reservation is cancelled at least two weeks before the surgery.
- The hourly rate is $500/hr excluding the time between cases.
